I am a licensed professional counselor in Southlake, Texas and I specialize in helping people learn and implement individualized coping skills that work for them. I specialize in clients who are struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, life transitions, trauma and grief/loss.
Whether you are new to therapy or returning, I welcome you. I aim to help you achieve self-awareness, clarity, connection, and wellness. My office is a secure and welcoming space where you can share your thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment. I promise to treat you with kindness and respect and listen to your perspective with an open mind.
My approach is both secular and spiritual, and I am a solution-focused, strength-based therapist. I will challenge you to think deeply, fight harder, and work towards your desired vision. I encourage honest disagreement as an opportunity for mutual exploration and learning.
Rather than telling you what to do, I will ask thought-provoking questions that will help you tap into your own wisdom. I will help you make sense of your experiences and understand how past experiences may be impacting your present life. We will work together to create personalized coping skills that cater to your individual needs.
During your journey towards wellness, you may experience both sadness and joy. Sometimes progress may be slow, but we will work together to find solutions that address your concerns and provide relief. I will be your partner throughout this journey, and I want you to know that every part of you is welcome here, even if you feel uncomfortable or nervous.
Take care, I can't wait to get to know you!

Norma is everything I was hoping for in a counselor. I feel like I've made real progress with my primary issue, and we're also getting into things I wouldn't have targeted on my own. We're only a few sessions in, but I can tell the longer I stick with it, the more invaluable her help will be to me, my kids, my career, and my relationships.
