Norra MacReady

About Me

I've worked with clients ranging in age from 7 years old to 60 and more, on issues ranging from anger management and gender identity questions to dealing with the grief over the breakup of a marriage or the untimely death of a cherished sibling. I work hard to offer an atmosphere that is warm, empathetic, and tolerant: in addition to my professional training as a therapist I have a deep well of life experience that allows me to understand people from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures.

Basically, I want to help you live your ideal life. When appropriate, we do this by identifying old patterns of thought and behavior that may be holding you back and how they arose, and then we work on ways you can change those things so that they no longer stand in your way. All I ask is that you be ready to commit to a journey of self discovery so you can get what it is you really want from life.

My special interests include people facing life-altering circumstances such as serious illness or gender identity issues, and ADHD and anger issues in adults and adolescents. But please don't let it deter you if you don't fall into one of those categories; I'll work with anyone who's willing and able to dig deep within themselves in the quest to build the life they want.

Thank you for your interest and I look forward to working with you!
