Pallavi Sharma, LPC
About me
I believe that it is important to work on educating members of the diversified communities of our home on the importance of taking care of their mind as well as their bodies. I want to work on guiding individuals to learn how to manage their daily life struggles, depression, stress, anxiety, loss, and adjustment. I myself have had to do a lot of self-exploration to find my place as a South Asian American and what that means to me; I want to be able to share and use my experience to help others in the community as well.
As a counselor, I have been working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, mood disorders, relationship conflicts and roadblocks, adults facing life changes, adolescents dealing with adjustment and anxiety, trauma, and stress. I enjoy using solution-focused approaches, as well as cognitive and choice-theory approaches.
I enjoy incorporating practices of play therapy, group work, and artwork, along with talk therapy, to help guide my clients towards their therapeutic goals. I enjoy using solution-focused approaches, as well as cognitive and choice-theory approaches, to guide individuals to a better understanding of their own patterns of thinking and behaviors that cause them to feel “stuck.”
Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions! I look forward to working with you!
