About Me
When you find a therapist you trust, you can change your life. Asking for help is a forgotten life skill. So congratulations for reaching out! My experience has been in hospitals, hospice, universities, community agencies, grief groups, and private practice . In my approach with clients I hope to give you a sense of safety while we walk together on your journey. Knowing you are not alone is the first step in therapy. I work with depression, anxiety, current and past traumas, loss and grief, aging, end of life issues, caregiver stress, family of origin issues and life transitions. I completed my masters education at both Eastern Mennonite University and James Madison University and have a license in professional counseling in Virginia. I have practiced for over 25 years.
I invite you to contact me and see how we can work together.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Pamela Comer. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Having just begun our journey, I feel Pamela is actively listening and is allowing an open space enabling my best outcome to learn
She is so sweet and really makes me feel at ease and comfortable. She allows me to discuss pressing concerns in my life while still being able to focus and relate the sessions to overarching issues. She is incredibly helpful in assisting me with skills in navigating building healthy interpersonal relationships while still maintaining my advocacy for self and boundaries.
She is a big help to me and I really need our sessions.
I am so grateful to her.
