About me

I grew up in Maryland and 2000 I moved to Santa Fe, NM to attend Southwestern College to pursue a master’s degree in Counseling, which I received in 2002. Since then I have worked in the mental health field as a case manager, care coordinator, mental health assessor, and a therapist. My specialty is grief therapy. I am licensed as a professional clinical therapist in New Mexico and in Maryland. My approach to therapy is client-centered and solution focused. I believe I help my clients by being a good listener, an objective observer, and suggesting ways to make positive changes in a given situation. Reaching out for help is a big first step toward positive change.
I look forward to working with you.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Pamela Edmondson. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I came into this program confused about my forgiveness towards others. However, I'm leaving this program feeling complete and confident about my decisions and the choices I make not just about one thing, but regarding many things.

Pamela helped me to tap into my sadness, feel it and release it. I became unstuck and motivated to concentrate on other areas of my life. Thank you Pamela. Be blessed always

Dr. Edmonston is one of the most patient, caring and thoughtful people I have ever met. She understands that all people behave differently- and have different triggers/emotional intelligence. I have had therapists in the past, but they mostly tried to push me into conclusions about myself. Dr. Edmonston is the exact opposite. Her questions, comments and laid back form of therapy helps me to come to grips with who I am and how to deal with myself in a proper manner.

Pamela is a wonderful listener, and has thoughtful questions, responses, and feedback. I quickly felt comfortable talking to her about my stress and daily issues.

Grateful for Pamela’s expertise. She really takes the time to first listen and understand everything you have to share before advising and providing guidance. Her sessions leave me feeling reassured
