About me
It is not abnormal to feel helpless or overwhelmed by your life experiences. Although change can at times cause as much anxiety as dealing with these life issues, there is a point where it becomes necessary to change the path you are on. Here, I feel a professional therapist’s job is to empathetically and objectively listen, observe and work with the client to set a realistic and appropriate treatment plan.
Together, we will evaluate…
What your primary concern is.
What your goals for treatment are.
How to accomplish your goals.
My name is Pamela and my passion is also my vocation—helping people cope and overcome obstacles in life through counseling. As a retired Senior Chief Petty Officer in the US Navy I have helped peers, subordinates and even superiors obtain self-awareness, resolve issues and problems, identify patterns and find the peace in their lives with the everyday stresses that would inevitably arise in the high stress environment of a diverse and stressful military workplace. I bring this and culturally attuned, individually tailored evidence-based psychotherapy to assist clients with depression, anxiety, adjustment, psychosocial stressors and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
I am a graduate of Capella University where I received a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. Completed a post-master's certificate in Advanced Clinical Practice from New York University, National Certified Counselor (NCC), obtained my Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and Certified Grief Counseling Specialist (CGCS) certifications. Having specialized in helping people with a wide range of concerns and diagnoses including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, anger management, domestic violence, PTSD, self-esteem and developmental disabilities, I have practiced in residential, community settings, private practice, telehealth and court-mandated counseling with both domestic violence survivors and perpetrators.
I am looking forward to working with you.

After 6 months away she handled my case like no time has passed. She refer to notes but remembered me a person.

Pam is a fantastic therapist, and working with her since 2020 has helped me gain more self-awareness, more acceptance and grace, more patience and more love towards myself. Pam was always so understanding of my needs, even when it was difficult for me to express them clearly. She reminded me that the experiences I have with anxiety are not uncommon, and that I wasn't alone in my struggle. She helped me through a mentally/emotionally difficult time in my life, and I'm so glad she was there to help guide me. I have learned so much about myself, and have regained a part of myself that I had lost awareness of for a time. With Pam's help, I have grown into a stronger, healthier woman, and I'm so grateful to her. I continue to implement all that she taught me outside of our sessions, and I know that if I ever needed a guiding hand again, Pam would be there for me.
