About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with 9 years of experience. I have worked with clients with a wide variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, OCD, parenting stressors, relationship issues and ADHD. I have previously worked for the Department of Corrections and the Department of Human Services as a Psychologist in highly structured settings. Currently, I work with clients in all age ranges in an outpatient setting.

My therapy approach is warm and inviting. I hope to create an atmosphere where you will feel comfortable discussing topics and difficulties you are experiencing. My approach uses elements of cognitive behavioral therapy and solution focused therapy. I also incorporate mindfulness techniques when it would help. I will tailor our conversations and treatment plan to meet your specific needs and goals.

It takes strength to reach out and seek help through life’s challenges as they arise. Together we can help you to be on a happier path towards achieving your goals.

Dr. Murphy is great! She is there when you need her and checks in when she doesn't hear from you, while you may be caught up in LIFE. She provides support and understanding that can be so essential in times of crisis and her perspective is always helpful, so as to provide an opportunity to see things a little more clearly when we are caught up in the details. Thanks Dr. Murphy! You are appreciated : )

Dr. Murphy has been an excellent sounding board for some of the worries that have been troubling me. I was feeling a bit cornered and thought it would be best to talk to someone with an objective position. She has been supportive, but not pandering, which is good. Very nice doctor, would definitely recommend!

I like Dr. Murphy and plan to continue "seeing" her. Along with being kind and sympathetic, she gives me concrete, tangible goals to work on so I have some sort of measurable evidence of my progress and something to feel good about. She also explains things so I understand why we talk about this or why I do that. I would definitely recommend her.
