About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years of experience. I have worked with clients with a wide variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, OCD, parenting stressors, relationship issues and ADHD. I also have experience working with substance abuse issues and trauma. I have previously worked for the Department of Corrections and the Department of Human Services as a Psychologist in highly structured settings. Currently, I work with clients in all age ranges in an outpatient setting.

My therapy approach is warm and inviting. I hope to create an atmosphere where you will feel comfortable discussing topics and difficulties you are experiencing. My approach uses elements of cognitive behavioral therapy and solution focused therapy. I also incorporate mindfulness techniques when it would help. I will tailor our conversations and treatment plan to meet your specific needs and goals.

It takes strength to reach out and seek help through life’s challenges as they arise. Together we can help you to be on a happier path towards achieving your goals.

I look forward to working with you!

Dr. Murphy is great! She is there when you need her and checks in when she doesn't hear from you, while you may be caught up in LIFE. She provides support and understanding that can be so essential in times of crisis and her perspective is always helpful, so as to provide an opportunity to see things a little more clearly when we are caught up in the details. Thanks Dr. Murphy! You are appreciated : )

Dr. Murphy was extremely helpful during a hard time for me - I was stressed with work/school, my relationship was on the rocks, etc.. she gave me good advice and perspectives which I was able to apply to my life and which helped my particular situations. I think she is very knowledgeable in her field and treats any issues with compassion.
