I want my clients to live their best life. I want them to be whole spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically. That's why I obtained a Master's degree in Social Work and for 40 years studied and mastered the concepts of the mind-body connection. I have been a Master Social Work Professional for 30 years.
I believe nothing that happens to us occurs in a vacuum. What manifests in our lives resulted from sustained thought and emotion then became physical and behavioral. Resolve the thoughts and emotions, change the behavior. Teaming with and standing for my clients through the therapeutic process, we decide together where to start and where to end, marking milestones along the way.
To enhance the effectiveness of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I whole-heartedly endorse the use of the Emotional Freedom Technique, or Tapping. It is a simple, energy-balancing technique endorsed by the American Psychological Association. Tapping makes change easier. My clients rediscover humor, fun, inner strength, confidence and self worth. You ready?

Pamela is a very supportive and inspirational counselor. She listens, asks good questions and brings humor to the table which makes conversation both effective and fun. She's very responsive and I believe she really cares.
When I signed up for counseling with BetterHelp a couple of weeks ago, I was expecting a half-hour session maybe every two weeks. What I got was a counselor who almost immediately sent a questionnaire regarding what I wanted to accomplish, then followed up with a worksheet to help me explore some of the aspects of my decision to seek help. It didn't end there. Pam read my responses, then started a messaging discussion with me to learn more about me and what I thought about myself and the world around me. Then came another worksheet and more in-depth messaging conversations, and that was before our first scheduled session! My first scheduled half-hour video session with Pam was primarily a "getting to know you" conversation. The following week, Pam and I communicated almost daily, often turning some of my issues around and inside out so that I can look at them differently. That has been quite helpful. During our second scheduled session, we dived more deeply into one of the relationships that I have, and it became clear to me that my perceptions were incomplete and somewhat incorrect, and gave me some insights into how I might want to proceed. I don't yet have a clear course in front of me, but I feel that significant progress has already been made. I know that BetterHelp doesn't just assign counselors randomly, but with Pam they assigned the real deal, someone who is well suited to my needs. She takes the time and makes the effort to help me outside of the anticipated bi-weekly sessions (which have been weekly, so far), and I truly appreciate her expertise and her dedication to her work and to me as a client.
She is very kind and makes me feel comfortable opening up to to personal things. She checks up on me when i take a while to reply she is so lovely.
Great personality, empathetic and a good listener. Sharing her own story also made me feel that she does indeed relate to me. Cheers me up tremendously.
Pamela has been extremely wonderful. I have learned so many valuable tools from her in this short time and am really grateful for the positive strides we have made so far
Pamela is a great listener and offers advice that would help. She listens and analyzes your needs, finding solutions and the reasons behind the problems. She helps you recognize yourself and offers encouragements. Highly recommended and am grateful I found her as my counselor.
I only had one session with Pamela, and I felt better talking to her and sharing my feelings and worries. Pamela is a very pleasant woman and I would recommned anyone trying to get to talk to her about whatever it is thats on their mind. God bless her!
I absolutely adore Pamela. I was slightly sceptical about what I was letting myself in for but she immediately put me at ease. I couldn’t believe how quickly she identified my issues and how much sense it made. I felt Immediate improvements in my overall mental health and I would recommend her to anyone.
Pamela is great! When I started my subscription I had no idea how to handle anything in the big mess of my life, but with Pamela's help I was able to work through it all and in under 2 months made tremendous progress.
Pamela is a brilliant counselor and human being. She is strategies and tools oriented, and I think that's a good thing. Pamela addresses the 'now; what can you do, right now, with belief in yourself, to feel good? She doesn't linger in analysis, but she is receptive to your past, tender and human while she listens. My experience with Pamela was pure, and kind. I think of her like the village healer. Pamela is here to help you help yourself. You can do this. I recommend Pamela's help as highly as I may.
Pamela Walker is a great counselor, always ready to listen, easy to talk to and willing to help. She has made my journey through living a happy and good life easy for me. I feel better & happy about myself already and ready to live my best life now.
Listens to anything and tries her best to help even in issues which might be out of her practice.
Helped me think of solutions in position where I thought solutions are impossible.
Pamala has been amazingly helpful and insightfull. I recommend her fully to anyone using this service.
Pamela is helpful. This online counseling is still different for me, but I can tell Pamela cares about me. She cares about people genuinely.
