About me

Greetings! My name is Pam Walton and I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Georgia. I have over 11 years of experience working as a psychotherapist in a college counseling center, and private practice in the Metro Atlanta Area. I am also involved in my community through my church, professional, and international organizations. I truly love what I do!
My goal is to help clients to build strong mental, emotional and spiritual foundations beginning from within. I use a holistic, solution-focused, multicultural, and cognitive-behavioral (CBT) approach in treatment. This means I begin with getting to know a bit about your life in general as it is, and will work with you to discover where you would like to be. Then together we will determine your most challenging issues, and what thought, behavioral, and/or relational patterns might be holding you back from becoming your healthiest and most empowered self. My style tends to work best for those who are ready to make gradual changes in learned thought patterns, boundary setting, and behaviors to achieve improved personal and relational outcomes.
Additionally, I am a Christian who often works with fellow believers. I am happy to provide sound, compassionate, and non-judgmental faith-based counseling when requested.
I look forward to the opportunity to work with you!
