Hi my name is Pamela Wilder and welcome to my online office. I earned my graduate degree from the University of Alabama in 1993. I am licensed in Alabama #1306 and Georgia # 4535 and have over 25 years of experience. My areas of specialty are depression, anger management, anxiety and relationships. My approach is to meet my clients "where they are in life" and help them learn what they can control vs. what they can't control. I teach clients how to develop coping strategies to gain control over their thoughts and behaviors while learning how to let go of what they can't control. I use a Cognitive Behavioral approach to help clients manage stress, adapt to life transitions, and understand the underlying causes of their problems. I am goal oriented and want my clients to walk away from their sessions with learning tools they can apply toward any problem.
Phone, messaging, chat and video are available for your convenience and safety. Appointment hours are flexible to meet any schedule.
I look forward to giving you unconditional positive regard from the comfort of your home, office, or car.

She is a wonderful and attentive therapist! As I've said many a time.
I love Pamela. She really helped me through a very dark time and process some very traumatic childhood things. She listens, encourages, and offers really good advice, She was very supportive and understanding. Most of all, she didn't judge me. For the first time in my life, I felt heard and accepted. I do not think I would be here today if it was not for her. I had terrible, deep depression, and she has helped me develop coping mechanisms to deal with it better. I am forever grateful.
Thank you for your help!
Pamela is such a kind therapist. She's able to heard and validated during my sessions while providing the best ways to proactively tackle my issues. I've only had a few sessions with her so far, but I can already feel the impact it has had on my mental health.
Pamela is very sweet and kind while talking with me- I enjoy our conversations and feel she is supportive in moving me through the emotions that I experience.
I only had 1 session so far, and I have seen a change in myself from my homework Mrs. Wilder gives me.
Pamela is extremely kind, thoughtful, and helpful. She helps me stay on track and work towards my goals. I absolutely love working with her!
Pamela is an expert listener and immensely supportive. She truly does provide a safe space and immediately made me feel comfortable and heard. With her help, I was able to take action on something I’d been overthinking for months. I feel very grateful.
Pamela is a kind, competent, and non-judgemental therapist and I'm glad that I was matched with them.
I counseled with Pamela for four sessions regarding stress, anxiety, and coming to terms with my sexual orientation. She provided a safe and non -judgmental space which allowed me to develop my internal dialogue and come to terms with who I am, what I desire, and the steps I need to take to attain my desired goals and experiences. She was insightful and provided very useful tools via worksheets and advice to help me alleviate my anxiety and move forward toward my goals. I have and will continue to recommend her in addition to the BetterHelp platform.
Pamela was an amazing therapist who truly understood my concerns and my mental health. She didn’t give generic advice but rather supported me through her quick replies and extremely insightful worksheets. Despite feeling uneasy since it was my first time going to therapy, she created a very safe space where I could completely trust her.
Grateful for the opportunity to get some issues out with a great listener and with great insight.
Really like Pamela! She has been so resourceful and helpful to me in my time of needs.
Pamela Wilder helped me alot with my anxiety and raising my self confidence. I feel more ready to face my stressors and any obstacles now feel less threatening and less scary. She helps create a safe environment where you can share anything and you won't need to worry about being judged.
I thoroughly enjoy working with Pamela and look forward to our sessions. She is readily available to respond to a message with sound advice and encouragement all days of the week and hours of the day. I feel a comfort and peace knowing I have Pamela to talk to and help me through a difficult time in my life. She is genuine, kind, and down-to-earth—I highly recommend!
Pamela helped me spark a fire back in my heart and empowered me to get the life that I not only wanted, but deserved. I will carry on her energy beyond our sessions.
Excellent experience, she listens to me and provides me helpful feedback and home work exercises. We communicate several times through the week. This is all helpful.
From day one Ms. Pamela made me feel comfortable. Definitely a no judgement zone. I was able to speak about anything that was on my mind or bothering me. In between sessions she would check on me to make sure I was okay. At first I was a little skeptical speaking with a stranger about my personal life, but I’m glad I made the decision to.
Absolutely love Pamela. Very easy to talk to, and I don't feel worried that she's going to judge me. Which benefits me in the long run- because I can just speak and not hold back, which allows my thoughts to process in real time and not get clouded with anxiety. She has a warm demeanor and she offers feedback and reflection instead of just "uhuhs" and "i see." Its still early, but I like the progress I am making so far!
