Parker Hampson, LPC
About me
My name is Parker Hampson, MA, LPC I am a licensed therapist with over 20 years of practice experience in non-profit service providers and private practice. During my career I have worked extensively with clients who have faced a broad range of social, academic and emotional challenges. My approach is client centered, compassionate, and collaborative with a orientation toward reaching client's goals. Many of my clients find my style warm and kind but focused on progress, and achieving a positive, realistic outcome.
I received my master's degree from the University of Hartford in Clinical Psychology Practices, where I subsequently served as an adjunct instructor. I have additional post graduate certificates in Rational Emotive Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and training in the Sanctuary Model for trauma. My graduate school training included course work in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Working as a psychotherapist is vocational for me and I feel fortunate to have worked with all my clients over the years who have taught me and helped me grow as a therapist.
