About Me
I began this path in 2006 working as a parenting coach for a social service agency which provided support to parents and children involved in the child welfare system. I continued in this area for eleven years and during this time, earned my Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling and began working as both an individual and family counselor. My next move was working as a clinical supervisor in residential inpatient and then outpatient treatment for substance use. Both of these areas taught me so much about working with individuals who are struggling with different stressors.
Asking for help is rarely an easy decision and my goal is to develop a space where you feel comfortable enough to work on your goals. My approach is to be genuine, warm, positive, and we may laugh a bit. I enjoy using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to assist people in learning new skills to manage their past, present, and future. Both of these approaches are based on the idea that people can learn to manage their thoughts and emotions and feel relief. The best results come from a willingness to practice between sessions.
I look forward to meeting you!

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Patricia Daruwala. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Trish is everything I’ve ever wanted in a Therapist, with her skill and personality, she’s the therapist you‘’d love to have for your whole life if needed! Theres no more searching for a different therapist once you’ve met her. After my first session with Trish I felt happy and hopeful, two feelings of which I lacked almost entirely prior to our session, those feelings have stayed with me even after my time with her as a client. Aside from her exceptional professionalism and punctuality, she is extraordinary at her job. Trish is a safe space, breaking down barriers you’d never expect to in such short time, and attacking the real reasons you’re in therapy, all within your comfort zone. She has this ability of understanding your TRUE needs (even if you don’t), shes never made me feel rushed, she validates you with honesty and comfort, backed by reason. All of these qualities she possesses make progress achievable, thanks to Trish my overall quality of life has improved substantially.
Trish is AMAZING! She’s the perfect combination of compassionate, funny, encouraging, calming, and resourceful. I’ve seen multiple therapists and I’ve worked with Trish the longest and she’s been so helpful! I always feel listened to and understood by her. I couldn’t ask for a better therapist! Thank you, Trish!
She’s the best therapist ever! She’s helped me so much
Trish has helped me so much. She listens to all of my concerns and makes me feel validated and heard, no matter how small the concerns may seem. I have loved working with her and look forward to each session. I cannot recommend her enough!
Trish is an attentive and responsive counselor! In a short number of sessions she's already given me several tools which have helped in my personal life.
