About me

I am a mental health and substance abuse clinician. I have experience working with clients who participate in Drug Courts and Mental Health Court. I have work with the incarcerated population both at the County and Federal levels. I also work with clients who have been convicted of DWI/DUI. Additionally, for those clients who have a history of criminal/ legal issues, I utilize treatment modalities focused on changing criminal thinking errors that often hinder recovery. I work with women who suffer from substance use and co-occurring disorders, believing that women need treatment focused on identifying their reasons for use and the obstacle which often hinder their recovery. Me personal belief is that recovery means change. Change begins with putting down one’s substance of choice, identify criminal thinking errors or maladaptive behaviors. Change is about identify and adjusting one’s thoughts and behaviors to facilitate the changes needed for recovery.
I do Substance Use and Mental Health and SAP evaluations. I provide individual therapy, group therapy and work with families whose lives have been affected by addiction and mental illness I help individuals who suffer from only mental health disorders, to identify their goals and develop skills which will help them achieve these goals. I work with many individuals who utilize Medication Assisted Treatment to aid their recovery, and feel strongly that when used in conjunction with therapeutic modalities MAT is a positive tool to aid one’s recovery. I also believe that individual who suffer from mental health issues may benefit from prescribed mastication. Recovery is a journey, which needs to focus on new beginning in life and not the endings.
