Hello :) My name is Tricia and I'm a licensed therapist based in Connecticut. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2011 and my Master of Science in Rehabilitative Mental Health Counseling in 2015. I've been providing mental health services for over eight years.
My approach to therapy is trauma-informed and person-centered. I believe each person knows themselves and their needs best deep down, even when it doesn't feel that way. I feel that counselors are merely helpers and witnesses of the healing which naturally occurs when a person is ready to change and receives safe, healthy, unconditional support.
I have extensive experience treating substance use disorders, anxiety, depression and trauma. I can also provide support in areas such as self-esteem, motivation, communication and grief/loss.
I support clients with CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) and DBT (dialectic behavioral therapy) as needed to manage distorted thinking and difficulty regulating emotions, while using an existential approach. I believe that activating the will to create meaning is an essential tool for recovery. I am also trained in EMDR which is proven to decrease trauma symptoms.
Outside of my work as a therapist, I provide spiritual coaching to others. I also enjoy writing, photography, hiking, art and cooking!

I have been seeing Tricia for only a few weeks now, but shes been better at listening to me without injecting her own agenda into my situation better than anyone else, and has really helped to make me feel like my feelings are validated as a person.
Its been a great experience
Tricia was exactly the therapist I needed. She gave me so many resources to help me with what I was struggling with and she listened to all of my thoughts even ones that may sound silly out loud and I loved the way she did our sessions. She was direct enough to make me realize certain things and was always very welcoming.
Attentive and supportive! I felt comfortable right away and was able to open up quickly to start working on myself.
Tricia offered a holistic approach to my specific concerns and goals, which ended up being an upgrade in my general mental health! She is easy to talk to and had a lot of resources for me to read into if I chose to. I had a positive experience and gained good perspective even though I didn't message very frequently.
Tricia has been amazing. She's a great listener and is always able to read through what I say, even if I'm not even sure myself what I'm even saying. She provides great insight and makes me think outside the box. I also love how open she is to talking about healing through more spiritual means. I've had a really great experience with her!
