About me

People need people. I see it every day in the work I do with clients and truly believe that we are not meant to be alone in the world. Life comes with challenges at times, and no one can tackle every difficulty by him or herself. In a society that prides itself on self-sufficiency, it takes great courage to ask for what you need, particularly if what you need is support from others. Whether you are looking for a person to whom you can vent, you are working toward a goal that feels insurmountable, or you need support, clarity and/or guidance as you try to untangle past issues, I offer a non-judgmental ear, a compassionate attitude and, quite possibly, a different perspective.

My experience involves working with individual/couples/families who have issues relating to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and substance use disorders. Additionally, I have experience working with survivors of interpersonal/domestic violence.

Most typically I work from a strengths based perspective, utilizing Cognitive-Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral Training and Solution Focused therapies, along with other modalities where appropriate. I absolutely believe that small successes are foundational to greater achievements. Change requires action--however big or small--and I'm here to support you along the way! My goal is to treat every one of my clients with sensitivity and compassion, while remaining ever mindful of each client's right to guide their own process. Whatever your goal, whether you are ready to make a change or are just kicking around thoughts about how your life could improve, we will start wherever you are comfortable.

Congratulations on taking the steps that led you to BetterHelp. Whenever you are ready, I am here. I look forward to working with you!

Reviews

Trish has been an incredible help to me in the last few months. I've grown more in this time working with her than I did in years with my last therapists. I'm reaching goals, I'm understanding better how to stop the behaviors and actions I don't want but also how to cultivate the ones I do. And in a way that clicks with me. I'm really fortunate to have found her.
