About me

Hi! My name is Paul "Chuck" Brewer and I am a licensed psychotherapist who specializes in treating depression, trauma, and stress. I performed my graduate studies at Boston College where I was trained to provide mental health and pastoral counseling using evidence-based interventions. Throughout ten years or so of providing mental health counseling, the patients/clients that I work with know that I care deeply about them and that I will walk with them through rough times.

I work from the assumption that people have strengths they can use to help get them out of ruts by making changes in their thoughts --> beliefs --> behaviors which will then have some necessary impact upon their existence. Therefore, if you are feeling stuck or confused; stressed out; lost or hurt, I will do my best to help you make new sense of these feelings and to then move forward boldly.

I encourage all of the patients/clients who I work with to live authentically, and I believe that non-judgmental and informed psychotherapy is just one way to help bring about meaning and fulfillment in our lives. If you think you could benefit from my approach to mental health counseling, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. Take very good care of yourself.

Chuck

Paul is the best. We connected right away and got to work immediately. He understood where I was coming from and worked from there. I cannot recommend Paul enough. He is cool and even keeled and smart and funny and thoughtful, each session was productive and enjoyable . He is exactly what I needed, he might also be that for you.

In only a few weeks, I can see a great improvement in how I’m seeing myself and the issues that brought me to therapy. I love the fact that I’m not only being listened to, but I’m being challenged. So glad I was matched with this therapist! Looking forward to the work ahead.

Very respectful and responsive. Always helpful and let's me really understand what I need to work on for me. I have enjoyed each session and its pressure free to get into a text format without being unformatted. Best decision i have made yet.

Paul has been amazing. I’ve had two therapists before him and I just didn’t feel the same vibe with them as I do with him. He’s direct and amazing at helping me make sense of how I’m feeling and what I need. He’s an amazing guide throughout the session and helps me come to my own realizations.
