Paul Courtland Soper

(LCSW, LISW)

About Me

Hi! My name is Paul and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas, and a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) in the state of Ohio. I've been practicing for about 9 years in a variety of settings, including community mental health, psychiatric hospitals and private practice. I offer online psychotherapy sessions to individuals interested in embarking on a journey of emotional healing. Negative thought and behavior patterns build up over time, and it takes time to retrain your brain and body to engage differently with the world around you. A holistic approach focusing on the mind, body and spirit is essential to recovery, and I try to teach my clients and their chosen families how to empower themselves to improve overall wellness. Everyone’s journey is unique, so I provide a trauma-informed, eclectic and individualized approach to healing.

I specialize in treating individuals with mood and personality disorders. I also specialize in treating individuals and couples in the LGBTQ+ community with specific issues relating to that population, providing a safe space for members of this community to process their experiences and identify and work on their goals for the future.

Online psychotherapy may seem unconventional, but the convenience helps to eliminate many of the barriers clients face in accessing care. I offer flexible appointments during the daytime, evenings and on weekends for clients all over Texas and Ohio.

I look forward to working with you!

Paul offers insight into problems that have been getting in my way for years. Each session he asks great questions and helps guide me as I learn and grow during our sessions. He does not judge and gives exceptional advice that is changing my life in so many great ways.

Paul has been an amazing therapist so far. He’s given me some really awesome resources and he listens and helps me work through whatever is bothering me most at the moment. I would 100% recommend him to others seeking therapy.

Paul has been amazing to me. I came into counseling feeling so unsure of myself and nervous about opening up and sharing what was bothering me. Paul put me right at ease and treated me with so much respect and dignity. Getting over my misgivings and giving this a try was the best decision I could have made.
