About me

As a licensed therapist of more than thirty years, I have the experience, expertise, and training to work with couples, families, and individuals on a variety of complex issues. I provide a safe therapeutic environment of confidentiality which builds trust, openness and understanding. Clients who engage in the counseling process discover an increased energy for life and relationships. This results in positive change and increased self-awareness.
I’m actively involved in the sessions, giving sound guidance and counsel, asking clarifying questions, making observations, and sharing my opinion. Clients feel comfortable working with me and often refer me to family and friends. I work with several different counseling models, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused, Reality Therapy, and Psychodynamic, depending on the clients(s).
I’m also a certified therapist for anger management/domestic violence groups. I’ve done this work for twelve years. I integrate this experience as well as anger materials in my counseling with clients who are dealing with anger issues.

All new clients receive copies of the articles I wrote on the subjects that most clients request help with.

Dr Fisher has helped me tremendously. He is a caring and considerate voice of guidence and also stern enough to push me in the right direction, even when I don't want to go there. I am greatfull for his council

After trying a few different counselors, I found Dr. Fisher. My husband and I have been working with Dr. Fisher for a year now and are in a completely different place from when we started. Although we've worked through all of our major upsets and I feel we could safely discontinue counseling, we have elected to continue because we appreciate the week to week accountability and reality check-ins on the small inevitable bumps in the road, and extra perspective while navigating major life changes.

Dr. Fisher has been very helpful and supportive since day one. He always listens attentively and asks good questions that help me break certain patterns. I also appreciate his positivity a lot. Grateful to have him as my therapist.

Dr. Fisher has been instrumental in helping me dig my way out of a depression episode. He has helped guide me through a difficult relationship with my mother and has given me the tools to feel like I can really control my own space, emotionally and physically. For the first time in a long time I feel like I'm on a healthy path.

I’ve said before that Dr. Fisher has been a tremendous help to my world. I have made a lot of improvements in a relatively short amount of time. He listens well and responds with thoughtful, meaningful input. I am extremely grateful to have him as my therapist.
