About me

I look forward to working with you. What ever your issue maybe I am confident that together as a team we can move forward and make progress. Life is too short to let problems bloc our ability to lead a happy and fulfilling life.
I grew up in England and got my Masters in Social Work, from the University of Nottingham. A few years later I moved to the United States with my family. I knew back then that I wanted to help people. I have had many helping roles - Director of School Counseling, Teacher, Coach, Community Worker , Hospice Social Worker and Therapist. Each of these roles have enriched me as a person and given me new insights into how to work with people. I have worked with adolescents, parents, families, adults and seniors. I have worked in schools, communities, residential homes for adolescents and seniors, hospice, community mental health and now I am in private practice as a therapist.
Back in the 1990's I was fortunate to be able to train at the William Glasser Institute and become a registered Reality therapist. I have integrated that perspective into my work with clients. I completed my Doctorate In Educational Leadership at the University of Vermont in 2006 .
While my British accent gives me away I have been a Vermonter now for over 30 years. I live in Norwich with my wife.

When I started with Dr Foster I was in a very weird and complicated place in my life. I felt like I have hit rock bottom. Dr Foster has been amazing at helping me get out of it. I have doubted myself a lot and he has helped me see that I am better than what I think I am. He is patient and understanding. I would recommend anyone to him.
