I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Life Coach and Sport Psychologist practicing in the state of Missouri. I am also the founder and owner of DOCIDE LLC which is a consulting service built upon "Motivation Engineering." I have over 10 years of experience in counseling individuals, families, and couples. My counseling philosophy is founded upon a Cognitive-Behavioral Approach that is Solution-Focused. The culprit for many of our problems are often the ANTS (Annoying Negative Thoughts) that creep around in our head. My approach to therapy involves recognizing the ANTS and finding a way to eliminate cognitive distortions that get in the way of living the life of our dreams.
Counseling is similar to a dance. It can be beautiful to experience when two people engage fully in the process of moving towards a common goal. Each partner is fully committed and trust is built upon a journey of self-discovery. I enjoy working with people from all walks of life and who bring to the table a wide variety of life challenges. My specialty areas involve helping clients who might be experiencing depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, obsessive-compulsive problems, eating disorders, body dysmorphia, substance abuse issues, low self-confidence, and obstacles to motivation. As a life coach and sport psychologist, I also work closely with athletes, performers, entrepreneurs, working professionals, and college students.
Once upon a time there were FIVE frogs. It was a hot day so all five frogs DECIDE to jump into the cool, refreshing water. How many frogs are now sat on the log?
FIVE! You see the frogs were only "DECIDING" to jump. Those people who ultimately realize their true potential and pursue happy lives are those who "DOCIDE" rather than "DECIDE." Are you ready to initiate action and take the plunge? If so, I cannot wait to start working with you.

Paul is absolutely incredible. He is insightful, patient, kind, and overall a great professional and individual. I didn't believe in the process coming in. He turned me into a believer. His work with me and my spouse has turned my life around. I can't begin to thank him enough.
Great counselor who is focused on problem solving and taking steps to make real changes. Dr. Wright is great listener who is involved and understands what you are going through. A lot of times, I had a feeling that he understood the situation even better then I could myself. The guidance he offers is invaluable.
All around an outstanding counselor and mentor. I couldn't be more satisfied with Dr. Wright's ability to not only relate but put my mind at ease. It's been quite the roller coaster for me but I've never felt like I didn't have someone to talk to during any time of need. Thank you Dr. Wright!
Paul identified my problem very quickly as I talked to him. He is very friendly, extremely knowledgeable and full of resources that were immensely beneficial to me. He is a great benefit to this organization and does some admirable work for it. Much admired by me.
Dr. Wright is incredible. He has a wealth of knowledge, he is very kind, very mature and sensitive to others' feelings. His ability to help one see the light is a true talent. I would recommend him in a heartbeat.
Dr. Wright is empathetic, compassionate, and responsive. He's provides good life tools on managing anxiety and a fresh perspective on the situation. I would highly recommend Dr. Wright.
I have been in sessions with Dr. Wright for about 2-3 weeks now and I have to say that he has done wonders. Being able to express my feelings in writing allows me to give him a full panorama of my circumstances. He has been direct and honest with me every step of the way and is providing me with the confidence I need so much. I would recommend him always.
Very nice. Helpful. Insightful. Caring. Generous with time and more
Dr. Wright got me to stop thinking in a negative way and to think positive and appreciate the good in life.
