About me

My approach to therapy is both compassionate and empathetic. I believe we all have the ability to grow and change if we have the support, desire and tools. Through the therapeutic relationship and process, people can improve the quality of their lives in all aspects by gaining a better understanding of themselves. My goal is to help my clients gain courage and self awareness to live life fully.

I specialize in grief and loss, trauma, relationship issues, illness, anxiety, depression, women's issues, postpartum depression and issues related to caring for aging parents.

I have been a social worker for over 10 years. I have worked in a variety of health care settings and have supported patients and their family members with various issues. I have special expertise in grief and loss and worked in the hospice setting for six years. Most recently I have been in private practice since 2014.

I have an undergraduate degree in social work and a Masters in Social Work from Temple University in Philadelphia. I have completed a three year post graduate training at the Gestalt Therapy Institute of Philadelphia and am working on obtaining clinical hours for my LCSW. I have also completed a post graduate training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) at Bryn Mawr College and hold a certificate in CBT.
