About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 11 years of experience in the field of general counseling.

My therapeutic style is warm, interactive, and tailored to each client's need. I am CBT trained clinician, but I use a few approaches and treatment modalities to achieve the optimal quality of services for my clients to include Motivational Interviewing, DBT, Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness.
I believe in recovery and know that therapy requires work. Not only work with the therapist, but individual work as well.
I assign homework to my clients to cement the work we do together and to maintain active participation as therapy is a process. I also send reminders or helpful hints through the week.
I am a clinician who enjoys helping people to have the best quality of life possible and I enjoy the work I do.
I look forward to helping you.

So far so good. I feel comfortable talking to her and I think she truly understands what I need as in individual. We also relate in more ways than one.

Phyllis has been a wonderful addition to my support system. In only a few weeks, I have been able to talk to Phyllis about a number of things that have been on my mind and inhibiting my ability see things clearly/objectively. She has helped to validate a lot of things I've been feeling and give me some healthy ways to try and re-think them. I have appreciated her time spent listening and giving me guidance. I look forward to the days when Phyllis is on my calendar!

This is my first time attempting therapy and honestly having someone to vent to and get positive and productive feedback from is life changing, on top of it being on my own time.

Work with me!
