About me
I am a licensed independent mental health practitioner in Nebraska with 19 years experience. I have experience working in the outpatient & inpatient settings with clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, coping with grief and loss, depression, motivation, self esteem, & confidence.
I graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology from Hastings College and then in 2003 received a Master's of Science in Education in Community Counseling from the University of Nebraska-Kearney. Modalities of therapy that I prefer include person-centered, solution focused, cognitive behavioral therapy, and some dialectical therapy skills when applicable.
I strive to create an open and safe environment with my clients where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.

Prairie has been great. She respects my boundaries and my wishes while still encouraging me to get uncomfortable enough to actually examine my issues and tackle them. She has given me a lot of helpful material for managing my depression, anxiety and ADHD. She has been a great sounding board for my grief over the death of my mother as well. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for someone to not only listen but give you actual tools and tips to take control of your life.
