I am a Wisconsin Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 14 years of experience working as a Counselor. I work with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, grief, anger management, bipolar disorder, coping with life changes, and PTSD.
My counseling style is warm and collaborative. I believe in treating my clients with empathy, respect, compassion, cultural sensitivity. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral therapy, humanistic, dialectical-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, and rational-emotive therapy. I have been seeing Pat weekly for nearly 5 months now and she has taken me on an enlightening personal development journey. I originally came to therapy with one specific thing that was worrying me but she opened up so much more that the original thing isn’t even an issue anymore.

Pratibha is an outstanding therapist. I sense pure passion in her work and continue to be impressed on many levels. My favorite example of her committment is from my second session with her. I had been dealing with some heightened anxiety that day. Instead of doing the formal 'intake questions' (which was the original agenda), she shifted gears and taught me two relaxation/meditation techniques instead. One was where I was to have my eyes closed and listen to tibetan bells while practicing mindfulness. I happened to open my eyes for a split second, and she was doing the meditation with me! :-) This meant everything to me - I really felt she was 'with me' and not just rustling paperwork, or jotting down notes. It was at that moment when she gained my full respect and trust. I am happy to have her as my therapist and grateful for the progress I've made as a result of working with her. Thank you Pratibha!!
