About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 12+ years of clinical experience. I am a native Illinoian, currently residing in Texas. I received my Bachelor's of Social Work degree from Western Illinois University and my Master's of Social Work degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I am trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing/Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MI/MET), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I have an extensive background working adults in several areas to include military/combat trauma, civilian trauma, PTSD, inpatient psychiatric care, anxiety, codependency, anger management, and addiction. My approach to therapy is based on support, compassion, honesty, and respect for the autonomy of all. Rachael is fantastic. She puts individual thought into each concern and she makes a concerted effort to check in between sessions and remind you that she's there for you. She does a good job of contextualizing mental health problems in a positive yet realistic way.
