Whether you are struggling with managing your emotions, navigating life transitions, communicating with others, making better choices, thinking more positively, or you have desire to improve the effectiveness of your parenting or relationships, I am available to support you without judgement or biases. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been working with families to improve functioning of individuals and family units. I will encourage you to identify your own goals and empower you to make changes. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to guide people to identify and change their negative thoughts to take control of their motivation and positive thinking leading to positive behaviors. I use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to teach grounding exercises, communication skills, and how to enjoy the little things in life. I use Attachment Theory, Family Systems Theory, Developmental Theory, and Behavioral Management Theory to teach parenting strategies to strengthen the family dynamics. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, ADHD, difficulties with identity development, life transitions, family conflict, and ineffective patterns of behaviors and thoughts, just to name a few. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
My counseling style is built on acceptance and empowerment. You should feel that anything you struggle with is normal and you are not alone. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I will explore the value in your experiences and praise you for all your strengths. I will make sure that you feel heard, accepted, and empowered to take charge of your life after we identify your goals.

I have panic attacks and anxiety and was hoping that I'd be able to find a counselor on better help that could help me. Rachel is amazing and I would highly recommend her to anyone! Shes taught me so many new coping skills that actually work and has given me the confidence to no long be afraid of "what ifs" and future anxiety/panic attacks. I thoroughly enjoy working with her!
