Rachel Evans, LISW
About me
Hi, my name is Rachel. I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker in the state of Ohio, with a mental/behavioral health background. I received a Bachelor of Social Work from Cleveland State University in 2012 and a Master of Social Work in 2013. I’ve been providing psychotherapy for a wide range of issues and populations for the last eight years with a focus on anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. I have training in trauma informed care and experience with various types of therapy to include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I have found that no one therapeutic approach works for an individual as each person has different experiences in life. It is important to me that the client is included in the treatment planning and goal monitoring process.
I believe in a strengths-based client centered approach. Making the choice to seek counseling can be difficult and I am happy you have decided to reach out. My goal is for us to develop a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship so you feel confident to express yourself in a safe and supportive environment. I believe our work is based on a team approach where we work together to achieve your desired goals. Once we identify your desired goals, I can provide tools to help you achieve them.
I look forward to working with you.
