About me

Hello,

I'm Rachel Everett, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) located in Colorado. I have been working with adults, adolescents, and couples for over 11 years, and I hold a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University in Denver, CO.

I believe that we are best understood within the context of our relationships. Together with my clients, we look at family relationships, sequences of behavior, and effective communication, to move forward and break free of patterns that no longer serve us. I provide individual, family, and couples therapy through a Family Systems Lens. I'm also trained in EMDR, ACT, and Level 2 trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

I have a special place in my heart for blended families, transitional aged young adults (hey 16-25 year olds!), couples, and parents. As mother of young children in a blended family, I truly understand the challenges that can come with trying to achieve balance. Finding a therapist who is a good fit for you is the first step. If you're looking for someone straight-forward, genuine, and who enjoys using humor, I'd love to hear from you.

Let's do this together.

Rachel is an amazing counsellor! She's helped me through so many dark phases of my life and always finds ways to make me realize that I am good enough the way I am and capable of whatever I want!

Rachel helped me tremendously through a very tough time in my life. She is very good at calling me out and helping to keep things moving in a good direction. She manages to be Sten and goofy at the same time and is very easy to work with.

I have a reputation of going to many counsellors and therapists because I am hard to commit since the last one I trusted, retired and broke me. However, Rachel got me to commit and trust again, and that is a very HUGE thing for me. I would recommend her to anybody!
