About me

I’m a licensed independent clinical social worker with over three years of experience working as both a medical social worker and outpatient therapist. I was previously working as an emergency department and intensive care unit social worker at a major Boston medical center. In this role, I worked with clients ages 16 to 98 with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, coping difficulties, traumatic loss, substance use, and psychiatric crises . I have also helped those who have experienced physical trauma, sexual trauma and emotional abuse. In my newest role as an outpatient therapist, my hospital-based social work experience provided me with a solid foundation for working with clients in a longer term setting. I continue to work with clients of all ages, ranging from young adulthood to the elderly, who have a variety of mental health needs and challenges, and all with a story and history to share.

My counseling style is engaging and empathetic. I strongly believe in treating everyone with respect, dignity, and compassion, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, faith and values. My approach frequently combines cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and psychodynamic counseling. I will strive to always be sensitive to your unique needs and tailor our communication and course of treatment according to what you need.

Asking for support is often the most difficult step in making a positive change in the journey forward. I welcome the opportunity to work with you and vow to keep your needs central to the therapeutic process.

I look forward to hearing from you.
