Hello! My name is Rachel and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I received my undergraduate degree in Social Work at Providence College and my Masters degree in Social Work with a Certificate of Graduate Studies in Adolescent and Childhood Trauma from Rhode Island College. Since then I have worked in a wide range of therapeutic settings including: adoption and foster care, residential care, and enhanced outpatient services and have experience working with children, teenagers and adults.
I work with clients affected by depression, anxiety, trauma and relationship challenges from individual, group and family work.
My approach to therapy is client centered: clients are the experts on their lives and determine the direction and depth of therapy. I rely on building a strong therapeutic alliance to produce positive outcomes and lasting change. Through a strengths-based lens, I draw on multiple treatment modalities to guide clients in identifying strengths and developing treatment plans that accomplish their goals. My approach combines aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Trauma Focused Therapy, and Psycho-education. I do not use a cookie-cutter approach to treatment and when we work together your goals will be the foundation of our therapeutic journey together.
I understand that it can be difficult to ask for help and recognize the courage that it takes. No matter what struggle you are facing, I hope it is one that we can work on together. Please do not hesitate to contact me.

I have never been one for online counselling, nor have I been very enthusiastic when it comes to true vulnerability or addressing my internalized emotional concerns, however Ms. Laudone has fostered such a great, safe, comfortable, and trustworthy environment, that none of my previous concerns have impeded my interest in our time spent together.
Her thorough reverence for my direction in our conversations, my personal truths, and my concerns regarding my past and my today have built a comfort level that I have not yet found in another counselling environment. She has allowed me to visit my past in a way that offers opportunities to not only confront my issues, but built a future foundation on, looking to tomorrow.
She is an outstanding councilor who is well worth at least giving a shot to talking to. I would absolutely recommend her, and have no intention of switching councilors. Thank you for all you have already done for me.
Thank you Rachel. You changed my perspective on counseling
