Rachel Leah Morrison, LPC
About me
Hi! I am a licensed counselor in Missouri with over 4 years of experience working as a counselor and 11+ years working in a helping profession. I currently own and operate with my husband our private practice, Amorri LLC. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns and enjoy working with all clients that I have encountered. I am also trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and have used this training to help numerous individuals who have experienced trauma and/or abuse.
I am a mother of 3 children and one dog. Among other things, I love photography, outdoors/nature hiking, construction, gardening, and have a passion for people and making the most of every opportunity.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I focus on providing a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive experience. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, and rational-emotive counseling. I am very goal oriented and will help you develop a treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs and work with you to set goals for yourself.
I view mental health along the same lines as physical health and work from a wellness approach, knowing that we feel the best when we are in good mental and physical health. Counseling can be intimidating at times, no different than going to a doctor about a physical issue that we may have difficulty talking about or accepting. However, it brings great awareness, relief, solutions, and reduces our fears. My goal is for you to have the same experience in counseling!
I look forward to meeting you and working with you!
