My name is Rachel McClain, M.A., LPC and I look forward to supporting you!
I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma. I acquired my B.A. in Psychology and minored in Sociology (with a focus in Substance Abuse Studies). I later attained my Masters in Counseling Psychology where I served as a clinician in training in the department ran counseling clinic under the care of the faculty where we served children, teens, and adults.
Following graduation, some of my experiences include facilitating individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, teaching, administering assessments, advocacy, and providing psychoeducation in a variety of settings (clinics, schools, client's homes, court, and detention facilities) . I have also created curricula for adjudicated youths and fellow clinicians (workshops/teaching). I often work with clients who have experienced deep trauma and hold state and national accreditation for TF-CBT.
I genuinely love what I do as a practicing licensed clinician. I have been trained in several trauma informed treatment modalities. My primary goal is to aid in balancing out overwhelming thoughts and emotions through psychotherapy for adults, teens, and children. My treatment modalities are tailored to fit each client based on need. I believe that treatment should be both client centered and empirical.

Rachel McClain is an amazing counselor with wisdom and empathy.. she is skilled at helping me uncover areas that need improvement, doing it with loving grace. I have enjoyed every minute of working with her. She is a GEM.
Rachel is an expertise in her field through and through. She helps me work through unwelcome and unhealthy thought patterns and build a strong foundation of confidence to uphold my goals for healthy living. Definitely recommend 10/10!!
Rachel is very professional, very patient and understanding. When you don’t have much to say she still finds ways to improve your thinking through metaphors and logic and when you’re ready to talk she is a great listener.
Rachel is hands down best counseling i have had. Been given tools that are effective. Learning about the ineffective ways i deal with issues, and learning skills to counter. Rachel is compassionate, thoughtful, and a great listener. I worried at first that phone counseling would be ineffective, it is not. Thank you Rachel.
Rachel is extremely kind and personable, listens actively, and has equipped me with effective strategies for breaking out of destructive thought patterns and behaviors. Everything about working with her has been a positive experience; I would recommend her to any of my friends!
Rachel has been easy to connect with and I've made a lot of progress over the few short weeks of engaging with her. She is an effective listener and promotes self growth tailored to my needs. She demonstrates a proficient understanding of psychology and cognitive therapy and uses her clinical skills to assist me in delving deeper to identify the causative reasons behind my behaviors and thoughts.
I’ve met with Rachel three times now. She’s listens carefully and follows through. She holds me accountable in a caring supportive way. She is helping me make the changes I need to make to get where I want to go.
Since I began seeing her, I feel more confident in my ability to manage my anxiety and depression. I feel supported and validated when I talk to her.
Only after 3 sessions I’ve know I’ve made effective progress. As a newbie to therapy, I’ve been at ease. She’s very easy and comfortable to speak.
Rachel McClain has been amazing. She makes this process seem effortless and nonstressful. How could it be stressful? Not everyone likes admitting they need help. Especially not me, I am a full-time wife, student, and employee. How could I do all this but can't handle myself? Finally, I caved in and decided to have someone who knows more give me a professional opinion. When I came to better help I was matched up with Rachel and we clicked perfectly. She was able to help me get down to the root in the first session. That may not happen for everyone but that is what happened to me. She is very positive and really listens to your concerns and questions. As I walk along my new mental health journey I would not want anyone else.
