About me

I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor with a LPC in Connecticut with three years of experience (one year+ licensed) treating substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, interpersonal issues, bipolar disorders, and some personality disorders. I am also now licensed in Maine as an LCPC as of 12/13/21.

My therapy style is mindful and person-centered. I want therapy to feel as if it is a genuine conversation. I believe in treating people with respect and having compassion/empathy. Although my approach is typically person-centered, I also use mindfulness therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing techniques. It can be a free-flowing session, but I will also adjust our session and your treatment plan to fit your needs.

I will be available for messaging Monday through Thursday from 8am to 5pm. After 5pm and on weekends (Friday through Sunday,) I will not be available as it is important to me to set a healthy work/life balance. I recommend you do so as well! Available video and phone sessions are as listed in my schedule, but should a different time be needed, feel free to discuss with me as I am more than willing to be flexible!

It takes a lot of strength to ask for help as change can be unnerving, but if you are ready for that journey I am happy to be there to support, encourage, and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

Even after my very first session, I feel so comfortable with Rachel! She really met me where I'm at already, and I love that it feels like I'm talking to a trusted friend rather than a "therapist robot" as she put it! I look forward to working through my therapy journey with her

Rachel is a God send. This is my first time in therapy and she has made it a great experience. I am learning more about myself than I have thought I would. She provides the tools to cope with my feelings and emotions and that is exactly what I need. My life has changed for the better since I started therapy sessions with Rachel.

I was apprehensive about starting therapy again but Rachel had been nothing short of wonderful with me. She understands how to explain something to me so I can grasp the concept. Every week she has a golden nugget that sticks with me and helps me.

I have absolutely loved working with Rachel so far. She is a great listener, and more than anything, she helps me connect the dots between my past traumas and experiences to help me associate to how these manifest in my adult life and helps me identify healthier ways to cope - essentially she's helping me to understand not 'what's wrong with me' , but 'what happened to me', so I can better understand myself and take better care of myself from that place of understanding. Appreciate all that she does and the comfort she gives me in our sessions :)
