About Me

My name is Rachel Mims (she/her). My goal as a therapist is to provide you with a safe, supportive, and judgement-free environment in order to facilitate mental, emotional, physical and spiritual healing. I served in the U.S. Army for 10.5 years so I have a passion for helping other veterans and their families. I have focused my work on helping those who have experienced trauma (combat, military sexual assault, childhood abuse, serious physical injuries, etc.), working with women, and helping those dealing with stress, anxiety, depression and grief.

I am an art therapist so I love to use creative methods with my clients when they are open to it. I am also trained to provide Horticulture Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. I focus on meeting you where you are and providing you with what you need. Together we will develop goals to help you live the life you desire.
