About Me

I am a therapist and licensed clinical social worker. I specialize in working with clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, depression, anxiety/panic disorder, phobic fear, family relational challenges, and a variety of other issues. I have spent a number of years helping support people experiencing grief and loss, trauma, and life and coping skills acquisition. I also have extensive experience working with parents of children with disabilities, and professional caretakers. I utilize elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), solutions-focused, narrative, and experiential therapy, tailored to each clients needs and strengths.

My counseling style is focused on problem-solving, empowerment, empathy, and healing. I embrace all lifestyles and orientations. I am not a religious counselor, but I do incorporate spiritual support techniques, such as mindfulness skills and meditative interventions. I have taught meditation for over 25 years, focused on calming the busy western mindset in a user-friendly way. I respect all (or no) faiths, but I am particularly suited to clients who would like an intuitive counselor who's therapeutic orientation partners with their own spiritual practices or beliefs. I believe in every client's innate ability to shift and transform, given the right therapeutic, clinical, and energetic support to move forward. I look forward to meeting with you, thank you!

I've gotten so much out of my time talking with Rachel! This was my first time doing any kind of therapy, so I was quite hesitant at first. Despite me taking some time to open up, she did such a great job to help me not feel so awkward about it. She was knowledgeable, empathetic, and validating of my perspective. Rachel has been such an amazing counselor. From someone who has never gone to counseling before she really made me feel welcomed and listened to when it came to my concerns and worries. She is highly knowledgeable in her field and always makes time to respond to messages.

Rachel is attentive, patient, and very understanding! She gives a listening ear, brings personal experiences in to play to make me feel at ease, and gives helpful advice and tips! She has been extremely helpful thus far and I hope to continue to make progress towards my goals with her.
