About me

I am a licensed mental health counselor with a 8 year background working with clients in both emergency services and outpatient settings. This has given me the opportunity to gain experience with various mental health disorders including anxiety, depression, substance abuse, autism spectrum disorders, mood disorders, eating disorders and trauma. I specialize in working with patient’s ranging from early childhood to young adulthood, however I also having experience working with groups, couples and, families.

In working with client’s, I believe that everyone is different. The way that we learn, perceive things, grieve, and process the stressors in our lives. This is important to consider when working with people. What works for you may not work for someone else, and that is why I use an eclectic approach to find practical coping strategies that work for you as an individual, couple or family unit. I have experience using a wide variety of therapeutic techniques including CBT, mindfulness, client based treatment and, positive psychology. I believe that it is important to build a safe and trusting relationship with one another so that you are able to share your struggles and stressors and accomplishments in a positive, supportive, and motivational atmosphere.

Rachel was incredibly helpful in my success in BetterHelp. She was able to provide a perspective on my stressors that my mind clouded from me. She did not give me answers to my problems but allowed me to reconsider them and find the answers myself. This is a skill I feel is critical any counselor and one she does well. She remained unbiased, punctual, and genuinely caring of my overall success. I feel as though i received what I needed and wanted from this program.
