About Me
My counseling style is warm, empathetic, integrative, pragmatic and person-centered. I believe that a therapeutic relationship should be a collaborative one in which you and I work together to discover creative strategies, solutions and, at times, even humorous insights to help you practice new ways to thrive. I have experience counseling adults, families and couples coping with grief, trauma, addiction, existential concerns, sexuality and recovery. I look forward to exploring these areas and more with you. My work draws its influence from the counseling theories and styles of Carl Rogers, Virginia Satir and Murray Bowen.
I graduated from St. Edward's University with a B.A. in Anthropology and an M.A. in Counseling with a dual emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Counseling. In addition, I am a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and Acudetox Specialist. If you feel that you would benefit from acudetox, please contact me with questions or to discuss treatment options. I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and dogs, practicing yoga, reading thrillers and enjoying nature photography. I am a descendant of the Old 300 and a second generation Native Austinite.

Rachelle is an amazing counselor for me! She comes to each session without judgment or expectations about my ability to share. Her confidence in me and her own process makes each session feel like a step forward.
