About Me

As poet, John Donne wrote, "no man is an island" and sometimes we just need some help to thrive.

I believe in the power of healing through the human connection. My style is to listen with compassion and empathy and to carefully work with you to identify areas in which you want to achieve. Together we will navigate through the path to healing while utilizing evidence-based practices. Life can be so challenging sometimes and it can feel very lonely trying to tackle all that you have on your plate by yourself. I am here to help you get through life's ups and downs.

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in the State of Hawaii. I utilize an integrative approach to combine a variety of different evidence-based practices in order to deliver effective therapy that is customized to the individual. Some of the evidence-based practices used and trained in are: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Systems Theory, Client Centered, etc.

I look forward to helping you along your journey!

I have to admit that I was not entirely convinced that online counseling would work out. I have had some very good counseling experiences and some very bad experiences as well. So when COVID hit the chance of getting into an office for counseling plus my work schedule it just wasn’t an option. I saw an ad for BetterHelp and thought why not. I was matched with Rachelle and right away we seemed to click. She had help me so much over the last 6 months. I am no where near where I want to be but I know that I will be there with Rachelle’s help.

I have sincerely enjoyed my time working with Rachelle. She is a bright spot in my week. I feel so comfortable talking to her and she is always quick to help me understand myself better as we construct productive ways to help each challenge I am met with during that week. I look forward to our appointments each week and know that I will come out of each session feeling better and brighter.
