I am an African American Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) originally from California and currently located and practicing in the State of Florida. I hold both a Bachelor's Degree and Master’s Degree in Social Work. Throughout my 6 years of practice, I have worked in a variety of medical and mental health related settings providing therapeutic and case management services. My prior clientele have expressed concerns related to a variety of challenges including: Depression, Anxiety, Substance use disorder, suicidal ideations, childhood trauma, PTSD, familial issues, life stressors, dual diagnosis, grief and loss, major life changes, immigration concerns, and women's issues.
I specialize in working with individuals presenting with symptoms of both anxiety and depression. As a therapist I know the importance of meeting each client where they are at and providing realistic yet goal oriented tools, tailored to each individual's needs. I believe that client-centered goals are an imperative part of therapy. This way clients are able to take the tools learned in their sessions and apply them to not only to their present but future challenges.
My treatment approach involves first building a strong therapeutic relationship to ensure the maximum growth of each client. I understand that seeking therapeutic services is not always an easy choice, but my goal is to provide a “safe and nurturing” environment for clients to feel comfortable expressing concerns and working towards a resolution. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques including: Client-Centered Therapy, Solution- Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to address concerns and develop a treatment plan together to ensure your specific goals are addressed.
I look forward to getting to know you and working with you in the near future!

She is knowledgeable and understanding
Racquel and I have shared a couple sessions and it’s like talking to a friend. She’s an inviting and warm personality. I feel like I am talking to a friend with the best intentions (even if they’re not the easiest) for me. It’s a much appreciated outlet.
I appreciate that she holds me accountable, and also allows me to let out all my concerns without judgement.
Racquel is great! I highly recommend her! You will not be disappointed and feel very comfortable talking to her and expressing your feelings. Thank you for all you do Racquel, you are very appreciated!!!
Racquel is very attentive and compassionate. She uses gentle guidance to help you find the path that is right for you and helps you outline how to get there.
Has been a great help with my stress
Thank you for saving my life
Racquel is a gem, always understanding, always motivating. Beyond inspired and moved to keep going, I know that there’s light at the end of the tunnel.
Racquel has been the best person so far to speak. She is empathetic and kind and an absolute professional. She ensures that you are comfortable and she asks all the relevant questions so she is able to provide the solid advice we seek . My favorite thing about her is that she listens without judgement and she creates goals for you to work on and that in itself will help you think outside the box and reevaluate yourself. I feel very comfortable sharing with her and I am sure you will too.
