Serving With More Than 7 Years of Industry Experience
I'm a licensed African-American clinical therapist, certified social worker, and owner of Rivers Edge Therapy and Counseling Services LLC.
I acquired my Master of Social Work degree with a concentration in children and families from The Whitney M. Young Jr. School of Social Work at Clark Atlanta University. While completing my master’s degree, I took an interest in trauma, more specifically, domestic violence to include intimate partner violence and child abuse.
Upon graduation, I began working in the Washington County public school system with youth who suffered from emotional disabilities that impacted their ability to be successful academically. After acquiring my license I made a career change and began working in the private sector for a treatment foster care agency.
To date, I serve patients of all ages in both inpatient and outpatient settings, working to address a variety of mental health diagnosis.

Raeya appeals to you not only as a person but on various levels of life. She is great to talk to and does not make my journey feel burdensome. I have already recommended Raeya to my friends and family.
Very good at listening and processing my thoughts and feelings. Not afraid to tell things as they appear. Provides constructive feedback and tools to deal with most issues
I had my first meeting with Raeya and am feeling so hopeful. Raeya was so pleasant to speak to and I’m looking forward to more conversations with her and receiving her guidance. She is understanding, supportive, and very compassionate.
She’s amazing and I’m so thankful she is in my life and helping me process!
Beautiful person inside and out. Feels like she understands where I come from and have high hopes she will help me figure myself out.
She understands me… and that’s not an easy thing to do
I had a therapist before who did not understand but Raeya, she does & she is my absolute favorite!! Since using better help and speaking with Raeya, I’ve noticed a difference in myself and I love it. I’m so happy I listened to my friend and joined better help, now I have a therapist who I like speaking with and I know I’m getting actual help. Raeya is definitely the better help that I needed.
Talking to her was like talking to an old friend! So easy to talk and relate to! Didn’t feel nervous like I usually do with new people! Professional and kind!
Raeya is an individual not only amazing at her job but makes me feel safe to talk about my past. She’s a great psychologist and I believe she is really here to help me heal from my past!
She’s a good listener and advice giver
Raeya is an amazing therapist who really connects and works to understand her clients. She is easy to talk to and I always feel better after our conversations.
During my first live session with Raeya, she was quite the listener as I processed and went through many traumatic life events with her. I am looking forward to more live sessions!
