About me

Life has a way of throwing us "curveballs," those events both significant and small which lead to struggles, often causing stress, anxiety, fear, and, in some cases, personal trauma. Perhaps you've experienced the loss of a loved one, the stress of supporting a family in a challenging job market, stress within your marriage, depression over your children's behavior, or anxiety over COVID 19. On the other hand, you may find yourself struggling to cope with a mental or emotional disorder, unsure of your options, or the methods available for treating the issues. Fortunately, you have come to the right place for help.

I am Randall Harvey, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, who has been in the helping business for 30+ years. I grew up in a military family until my father was killed in Vietnam. Following his death, I moved to my mother's native country and experienced my own share of troubles as a youth. Upon my return to the US, I spent one summer working in the inner city with troubled youth and was inspired by God to pursue a religious vocation. During my past experiences. including that as a chaplain, I had the honor of working with Veterans and their families, in particular those who were suffering from depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Substance Abuse Issues. That led me to pursue an MS Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Today, I want to work to help you navigate the path on your own personal journey toward a happier, healthier life. I offer a warm, welcoming, and secure environment where I proudly will aid you in coping better with the mental health issues you are struggling with at this time. I believe that, as real as any physical illness, mental illness can be effectively treated to help you move forward towards the life you have always dreamed of.

The few sessions I have had with Randall has really been good. He has point out some issues that I haven't acknowledged. He gave me some anxiety exercises and coping skills and how to redirect my thoughts. He is a very good listener and patient.
