I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), with a Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD). Approximately 23 years of experience as a counselor, and having worked in group homes, on a county crisis team, and in county mental health clinics, has given me insight, perspective, and appreciation for many different points of view. As a counselor, my interest is in helping clients identify as clearly as possible what their goals are, what obstacles are causing problems, and how their strengths can be clarified and sharpened in order to reduce the problems.
My preferred approach is to use ideas from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Existential Therapy, and a variety of philosophical viewpoints to assist clients in clarifying their goals and their core beliefs.
