People often start therapy because they are seeking some kind of change; that change may involve developing new skills to cope with emotional pain, learning to set new boundaries in relationships, or finding more meaning in life. My aim as a therapist is to provide a safe and supportive space for individuals to gain the insight and skills they need in order to make the changes they seek.
My approach is client-centered and integrative. While my practice is rooted in principles of psychodynamics, I draw on a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities in order to best meet the needs of the person I am sitting with, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), among others.
I have experience working with adults on a range of issues including mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, and building self-confidence. I believe awareness and shifting your thinking, have a significant influence on the way you experience life.
I look forward to creating a safe space with you!

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Raven Aponte. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Raven is always available and excellent listener.
We are still getting to know each other but it feels promising.
