Like most, 2020 was a rough year. I was suffering from time management issues, lack of motivation/moving forward, and setting boundaries with family issues. I thought I could power through these, but I'm so glad I sought therapy and found Rebecca. She was incredibly supportive, kind and a great listener and sounding board. I also appreciated her caring approach; it felt personal and comfortable. Her insight was really great too; I often brought a notebook to write down her observations and reminders. At the beginning, I was worried I'd have to bring an issue to the session every time or update her on what we covered last time, but she was open about letting me have the floor for whatever I wanted to say and then she would expand on phrases/things she noted. Sometimes even just talking about my week and how I felt during certain times would reveal something and other times, it was just really nice to talk to someone without feeling like I was being a bother.
I'm taking a break from therapy, but I leave with my life completely improved: I'm managing my time, boundaries and reactions better to daily stresses and I'm setting goals for myself and taking the steps to move forward. And now I have the emotional bandwidth to support myself and others! Thank you for all your support, Rebecca!
