Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to learn more about me! My name is Rebecca, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Maine, as well as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of New York. With 10 years of experience across various settings, I offer supportive therapy for situations including; parenting issues, depression, anxiety, family systems struggles, trauma histories, life transitions, and varying mental health disorders.
“Anxiety can feel as huge as the big, blue sea, but remember that the sea is made up of smaller waves”. Sometimes life can be overwhelming, we feel as though we're lost at sea, and our own navigational devices aren’t working. I provide a safe space to break life down into smaller more manageable waves, supporting individuals with redefining their navigational systems. My dedication to the mental health field stems from my own personal experiences in it. Coming from a family with multiple members living with mental illness, and having personally overcome my own mental health challenges over the course of my lifetime, I know firsthand that navigating life with these added stressors can prove to be especially difficult. With the stigma that still exists around mental health, I know the roadblocks that can exist in seeking treatment. However, I also know how much better life can be once you find support and take the necessary steps to face the troubled waters.
I support every individual with identifying their personal goals and developing a treatment plan to support prevention, stability, and resilience. I use a person-centered, holistic, and eclectic approach in treatment. I utilize evidence based treatment modalities such as cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, solution-focused, and reality therapies. I would describe my personal style as supportive, but I am also willing to challenge people when appropriate. Interventions are structured to meet each client where they are in their personal navigational journeys.
“You can never cross the ocean until you have the courage to lose sight of the shore”. I am passionate about supporting individuals and am willing to paddle right alongside my clients as they navigate their way through the waves into calmer seas.

Rebecca is brilliant and has a very good way of making me see things differently. To me, that means she's great at her job, and an amazing person. I appreciate Rebecca!
Rebecca is great and very helpful with my problems.
I really like Rebecca. I've had counselors before who didn't appear as if they were actually talking to you or paying attention to you; Rebecca is present and makes you feel valued. I like that she helps you make a plan to change.
I highly recommend Rebecca Cusack because she was very supportive and listened without judgment. She made it comfortable for me to open up about my issues.
Rebecca has been great at taking what I say through our chat sessions and giving me reassurance, advice, and worksheets to help me work through my hard times. The feedback she gives is helpful and has helped me improve on my perspective and my coping skills.
I sought out a counselor online because as a wheelchair user it was hard to find someone with an accessible office. Rebecca was wonderful. She listened to me and responded with real life suggestions. She provided real life doable suggestions for me. I would definitely go to her again and can recommend her fully.
Rebecca is very supportive and empathetic. She helps me see new perspectives and validates all of the things I’m doing well. It’s nice to have someone who is there for me. I appreciate her.
Rebecca is great! I'm glad I got matched to her. I slowly but surely feel improved already.
