Welcome, I’m glad you are here! My name is Becky and I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of South Carolina. Since graduating from the University of South Carolina’s Rehabilitation Counseling program in 2015, I have worked in different outpatient community and private settings. My experience includes working with people with severe and persistent mental illness, depression, anxiety, trauma, anger management, life transition and adjustment concerns, and relationship challenges.
I feel that everyone can benefit from counseling due to the simple fact that life, while often beautiful, can also present many challenges. Change in and of itself is not always easy, and it can be difficult to process our emotions and determine next steps at times. Whatever has brought you here, it is important to me that you feel heard without judgement and supported as you determine the course of your life. By reaching out, you’ve taken a courageous first step toward harnessing your own power to find or return to a place of fulfillment and inner peace in your life.
My counseling style is nurturing, encouraging, and supportive, and my theoretical approach is integrative, meaning that I draw from many different theoretical perspectives and techniques based on your unique needs and goals; however there are a couple of modalities that I find especially helpful and widely applicable. First and foremost, I always take a person centered approach to counseling, and believe in meeting you where you are and helping you to identify and utilize your own strengths to promote self empowerment and growth. One of my favorite quotes is this one by Carl Jung: “Your vision becomes clear when you look inside your heart. Who looks outside, dreams. Who looks inside, awakens.” I am a firm believer that you already possess the qualities and tools that you need to navigate difficult situations, and we will work together to unlock your full potential! I have also found cognitive and dialectical behavioral approaches to often be effective in identifying and changing thoughts and behaviors that no longer serve your life well. Regardless of modality, I will always work collaboratively with you to establish and amend goals as needed in order to ensure that your therapeutic needs are being met.
I look forward to meeting and beginning this journey with you!

She’s warm and comforting. Thanks for being there to listen
She is amazing!
I’ve only been working with Rebecca for a couple of weeks and she has been immensely helpful. She cares about me as a person and gives weekly worksheets and videos to help through my situations.
Love her so much!!!
She’s the best!
Rebecca is so kind and makes me feel truly understood. While we've only been working together for a couple of months I can already see a difference in myself, and so can those around me. I'm beyond grateful for her patience with me as well since I tend to be all over the place. I love how she challenges me while still being gentle. A big thank you to you Rebecca!
She was very genuine and attentive
I am so far very happy with Rebecca and look forward to our sessions and talking to her. She listens, offers constructive feedback, and resources and homework for me.
Rebecca is an excellent counselor. She is patient, listens intently, and provides very helpful suggestions. It is very easy to talk to her and I feel no judgement from her side when I share what I feel. I am glad I opted for betterhelp and that Rebecca is my therapist.
Rebecca was so great to work with and I wish I could've stayed with her! Unfortunately I moved out of state and had to switch. She has a very nurturing and supportive counseling style and made me feel very safe and heard in our sessions. She was great at letting me lead the session but also helped guide me when I wasn't sure where to start or what to do. Would definitely recommend her.
Meeting with Becky has been an excellent experience. She asks great questions and challenges me just enough while still making me feel safe and supported. The resources she shares feel personalized to things we’ve talked about and information I have shared with her, which is different than some counselors I have experienced who I felt just gave me the same resources they gave to everyone. I have enjoyed meeting with her and plan to continue!
Amazing person. Thank you!
Rebecca is the first therapist who really helped me make progress. She allows me to vent and then make very useful comments. It's hard to pin point why she is different than other therapists, but she is.
I have been seeing Rebecca for over 2 months and from the help, guidance, and reassurance she provides is amazing. I personally have recognized such a positive change in my mental health. She is always available, and always willing to help!
She is a wonderful compassionate Christian counselor!
Rebecca is so easy to talk to and is a wonderful listener. She ask questions that allow a deeper level of introspection and that help you organize your thoughts.
Rebecca has been a huge help and support helping me deal with my procrastination as well as some mental health issues and daily life struggles. She is a great blessing and I strongly recommend her!
She is the sweetest and SO helpful. Always have great suggestions and practical resources to help as well as just being a great listening ear.
I was very hesitant about using this service, but one my first session Rebecca made me feel extremely comfortable and able to open up talk to her. I don’t trust easily or talk to people I don’t know but she has made it very easy for me from the very first session. I respect her opinion, advice and her as a precessional . She responds very quickly if I message her, she checks up to see how I am doing. I can not say enough good things about her. I would highly recommend her.
During a very uncertain time of my life, I have found a great deal of comfort from my sessions with Rebecca. The most important part of each session, for me, is to walk away with an action/activity that will help me move closer to resolution of my inner struggles. Rebecca does a great job of relating these actions/activities to our sessions, which has helped me immensely. She’s helping me gain confidence, and helping me to forgive myself for the past. A new weight is lifted off of me after each session and I think that’s a feeling anyone would like to have!
This has been my first experience with talk therapy and Rebecca has been extremely kind and knowledgeable walking me through this process. Confronting issues with anxiety can be uncomfortable but she's made it a pleasant, confidence building experience.
Just about the most helpful, and caring person I have ever met. She help put me into a much better mindset in such a short amount of time.
Rebecca is warm and caring, and helped me find new techniques to cope with the stresses I was going through
Since our first message (and the sessions and messages after) Becky has listened to everything I’ve had to say. She offers perspectives and solutions I hadn’t thought of. I look forward to talking to her on a weekly basis.
Rebecca was wonderful. She understood my priorities and was very encouraging.
