About me

Greetings! My name is Rebecca Langley and I applaud you for reaching out through BetterHelp to make a positive change in your life. Therapy can be a great source of support and advice. I believe very strongly that the relationship that is built with your counselor is one of if not the most important aspect of counseling success and I work to establish a place of trust, warmth, and freedom from judgment in sessions with my clients.

I would describe my therapeutic style as eclectic, as there is no one-size-fits-all therapy, but my primary methods used are within CBT, client-centered and solution-focused styles. My clinical experience has mainly been working with clients who suffer from anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, grief, and attachment issues.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Arkansas, received my master’s in 2006 and have been licensed since 2007. I have provided therapeutic services in community mental health centers, day treatment programs, long-term foster care facilities and school programs. I have most recently been teaching and providing counseling services to students at a local university, where I both earned my Master’s degree and have been fortunate enough to work teaching in the psychology department for the last 12 years and have taught introductory psychology over 50 times and abnormal psychology over 24 times.

I entered the counseling profession with a desire to help people make positive changes in their lives. My main objective is to facilitate change using your concerns and input to provide direction and feedback in order to assist you toward your goals for making your life closer to what you want. I believe in the power we all have to gain insight and perspective that can increase our overall contentment with our lives and I would be honored to assist you on your journey to become better.
