About me

Hello and welcome! I am so proud of you for reaching out for help. I know that is a very difficult step. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the best way to work through counseling. Building the foundation of trust and unconditional positive regard, in my experience, promotes the most change and creates a safe space for my clients. I believe in being your authentic self instead of using a mask that is presented to others.

I have been working in the mental health field for seven years and I have worked with a wide variety of concerns such as depression, anxiety, LGBTQ+ issues, trauma related issues, and relationship struggles. I believe that most of the issues that arise in someone's life tend to have a trauma base; even if it is something small. I am a trauma informed care therapist and work to find the root of the problem instead of just working with the symptoms. I work from a person centered and solution focused base also so I can fit your needs to help reach your goals.

It takes strength to want to better yourself or your situation. I look forward to working with you.

Things started great with Rebecca . However , her responsiveness was not given in a timely manner ; she actually did not respond effectively as it seemed like she was rushed or just responding with what I wanted to hear . Not a pleasant experience the least .

She is so understanding and approachable right away. I’ve seen a ton of different councilors and had a ton of trouble opening up to them, but I was able to open up to her immediately. She knows when to listen and let me work out things myself or when to give advice, and her advice has been creative and innovative. In therapy, you tend to hear the same things over and over but she always has new ideas and advice that I never would’ve thought of before. Her advice is creative, effective, and easy to apply to my life. I’m so thankful to have found a therapist as understanding and easy to talk to as she is

The first thing you notice about Rebecca is that she is so kind; she has this accepting, loving energy.
Secondly, she is present. I have worked with many therapists, and they all have lots of knowledge. What is rare is finding someone who can keep quiet and simply hold space for their client. Of course therapists are highly trained and have lots of head knowledge, but if they can't be fully present in this moment with their client, it severely limits progress. Rebecca holds space for me and doesn't rush me or fill the air with mind-based words that pull me away from my body/heart/work ---- and I am having breakthroughs because of it, breakthroughs that have been a long time coming. Thank you, Rebecca: deep respect and gratitude to you.

Rebecca has been open and understanding since day 1. Having immense difficulty sharing my story with people, she made it a very effortless process. She shows no biases and displays no judgement. It truly feels like I am speaking with a friend (comfort-wise) who just happens to have expertise in therapy/counselling. She does not simply tell you what to do and say “voila, you’re better”, rather she puts in the work and explores all things worth exploring. 10/10 would recommend.
