I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia, with nearly a decade of clinical experience. My primary amount of experience has been with children, adolescents, parent coaching, and family relationships. I use Person Centered, Solution Focused, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness approaches as appropriate, and primarily evidence based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
I have worked as a Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC), a Certified Pre-screener in Emergency Services, and an outpatient and assessment therapist in the Youth and Family Department of two different counties, a therapist at a residential center treating eating disorders, and as an intensive in-home therapist. I also have been a school-based therapist for over 2 years. I have also previously worked in community based private practice serving a wide age range.
