Rebecca Neff, LMHC
About me
People come to see me when they are struggling with self-defeating patterns, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, professional challenges, or seeking greater balance in their lives. I provide a warm, safe environment that fosters authentic and collaborative therapeutic relationships. I believe in the integrity of my clients and the uniqueness of their life stories and experiences. I believe our inner dialogue and self-narrative shapes the way in which we see and interact with our world and the relationships we hold. People describe me as compassionate and someone who brings understanding and acceptance into the therapy room.
In my practice I believe in integrating clinical and practical approaches. I draw from person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, acceptance and commitment, and narrative therapy as well as mindfulness and solution-focused techniques. I use the mind/body connection to promote a deeper understanding of the history of trauma and to facilitate healing. I also include yoga and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) as part of my practice, when appropriate.
Together we will explore and bring awareness to the areas that influence experience, motivate behavior, and contribute to the struggles present in your life. We will work together to establish a treatment plan that suits your individual needs and helps you reach your therapeutic goals. This includes approaches that can be integrated into your everyday lifestyle. My commitment is to helping my clients achieve balance and success in the areas that are most meaningful to them.
I hold an M.S. in Psychology and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I am the founder/owner of New Legacy Psychotherapy & Wellness in Bettendorf, Iowa. I am also a certified Life Coach and received my 200-hour Yoga Teacher certification from Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Meenakshi Ashram in Madurai, India.

Rebecca genuinely understands the troubles that I am struggling with and provides a supportive environment for me to grow. I am so lucky to have gotten her as my therapist. This is my first time trying therapy and I'm really glad I'm having such a great experience thanks to Rebecca.

Highly recommend Rebecca. She is thoughtful and listens, and really poses questions to try and understand the root of the issue.

Rebecca, thank you for taking the time and understanding my procrastination. I know you have asked me several times to send in paperwork and I still haven’t. But you continue to communicate with me and it has been very helpful

I have been in therapy with Rebecca for a few months, and she provides a warm, inviting space for me to share my concerns and work through whatever I happen to need most this week. She takes cues from you on what you need most, and you work from there. She knows when to push in with a question that challenges your positions, a light on what you may be missing from your narrative, and in general, help. I would highly recommend her for anyone struggling with anxiety and life transitions, such as myself.

I have done two sessions so far, one an establishment one and the second one a normal session. She is kind, understanding, listens closely and gives helpful tips and advice about how to manage anxiety.
